Few months ago I got a project for a drink product named Rott Energy Drink. The Owner of the company wants me to make the design for the holding page of the site of his company. Similar design he wana use it for the cane of Rott Energy Drink. His visualization described as a Rottwiller on the black background and there should be steel fences over the background. In his specifications he needs the Rott to look angry and snarling. Some blood shud be coming out of his mouth. Some steam from the bottom of the page the whole design according to his senses shud gives an energy look and feel. Later the whole thing need to be a little animated in flash. I started working on it but hvnt found a perfect Rott a perfect snarling Rott snap I must say. So I decided to make a rott my self. One who got Photoshop he becomes the god of 1024×786plx world. I now have to turn a cute Retriever to a heated Rottwiller

Step 1>>

So thanx to google devta(god) I got a perfect image of Retriever to dig CG on it.

Step 2>>

I need ears to show more to give the face a broad look right now it is looking thin. So I took some background that was grass in the shape of ear through pen tool. In the same step I made the eye surrounding areas more brown with burn tool. Still his lower jaw was giving me a feeling of a stupid dog. As one of his lower big tooth was not visible I need that to make his looks killing. So with some stamping and liquify I made a place for his tooth.

Step: 3

Before putting teethes and made the fur and skin Brown as Rottwiller use to have. I made a new copy of retriever and take out is eyes and mouth out of it and after few color balancing to it. Fig looks like that, now just flip the colors say ?Ctrl + I? and boom its brown.

Step 4:

Look honey what I got for you. New teethes and lower lips. I took one tooth from some image and fixed it there and made it brighten according to sunlight. In the right where I made some place for a new tooth I fixed one copy there. Doing in right I made some shadow from burn tool on the tongue to look it going inside near tooth. To make it look original. If you check out first pic I required a side lips outside the right( right of the snap) big tooth. To make the lower jaw look wide.

Step 5:

Copied the left eye to the right eye and darken the right parts from chest to head making a black brushed layer with darken layer effect.

Step 6:

Fixed the depth of the right eye. I shud tell you where ever I write right that sud refer from the right on the screen not the Rott right eye. This is my way to right as I dnt have much time. I am writing just to show you how things were made with Photoshop. And letting you know the accurate power of the software that lives inside a CG artist not in the software. So here I made the whole mouth nose part brown i need it on new layer because I want some more wrinkle on the left side of the snap on mouth.

Step 7:

DPing new ears with lots of tools and filters. Added shadow to the pic below the neck to take the rott head out of the pic.

Step:8

This is called DP a copy of the nose area and lots of efforts with color adjustments brushes, filters all over to take out with this effect some where I used to match this skin with some other dog part.

Step:9

Rotts use to have a patch of few brown furs over his eyes. When he is sleeping this looks like eye from far to fake others that he is awaken. After making this rott is ready. But now the main Game will begin make it more killing. He needs some blood in his mouth. I don?t exactly know but I have heard that when Rotts become angry some blood starts coming out of there mouth. This is because of the pressure of the blood in veins goes higher i shud add I heard this.

Step 10:

Make a new layer over teethes and color it like this. Two of the lower layer is given the OVERLAY layer effect after filling with color and the layer on above teethes is given multiply.

Step:11

You can see the mouth full of blood effect. Under the upper lips given some shadow to make lips look little far and everything done to make the blood look original and fresh.

So this is the story of making a Rottwiller. You can have a look at how the client idea made real in flash with a little 3d particles for steam effect.

The same design is made for the cane of the Rott Energy Drink. Where there is a big rott willer in the front and the fences is covering the whole cane. Cane is also in black color with the same look. But finaly after some days the client requested to took out the heart
